MISSION CHEF NATHAN RICHARD OF KINGFISH TO COMPETE IN THE LOUISIANA SEAFOOD COOK OFF

The ninth annual Louisiana Seafood Cook-Off, presented by the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board, will host Mission Chef Nathan Richard along with 10 other chefs from across Louisiana to compete on Saturday (May 28) during the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience‘s Grand Tasting at the Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Convention Center. Buy tickets here.
Each chef will vie to be named King or Queen of Louisiana Seafood.

Chef Jeff Henderson, host of “Flip My Food,” and 2011 King of Louisiana Seafood Chef Cory Bahr of Monroe will serve as masters of ceremony. Last year’s King of Louisiana Seafood, Chef Michael Brewer, will be on deck to crown this year’s winner.
King or Queen?
The winner of Saturday’s contest will be named King or Queen of Louisiana Seafood. Not only with that chef become the spokesperson for Louisiana traveling the country, he or she will represent Louisiana at the most prestigious seafood competition in the US – the Great American Seafood Cook-Off set for Aug. 6, during the Louisiana Restaurant Association’s Food Service and Hospitality Expo. The 70th annual expo runs through Aug. 8 at the convention center.
